Dear Duke School Families,
I am looking forward to our time together next week to discuss the Return to School Plan. We will hold these meetings as webinars, due to anticipated group size, maximizing the chat option on Zoom to promote exchange and identify themes as we discuss plans for starting the academic school year. I am excited to speak with you about the extensive preparation we have undertaken on campus and in context of bridged/distance learning so that we are prepared for August as it unfolds.
To help us best prepare for your meeting next week, I ask that you please RSVP to join these meetings. In addition, when you register, please let us know if you have a particular question for us.
Sharing My Thanks
Many of you shared your support in response to the distribution of the plan last week, a culmination of the work throughout the spring and early summer. I deeply appreciate your understanding, reflected in comments noting that there are “no perfect answers” and empathizing with our focus on making thoughtful decisions in a rapidly evolving environment.
I am grateful for your acknowledgment that Duke School is remaining as agile and responsive as possible at every turn, dedicated to the long-term educational experience for your child and keeping paramount the health and well-being of every student and employee as we address, together, the continuing public health crisis facing us now.
Thank you for partnering with us—sustaining your commitment to Duke School now as we continue to remain focused on a hopeful future during these on-going challenging moments.
Have a good weekend, and I’ll see you next week,
Head of School
